The heroine is a young, talented, and cheerful girl named Yulia, whose life is entirely subordinated to a despotic mother and to circumstances that keep her as if trapped “in a cage.” Wanting to break free of that control and find true freedom and love, Yulia meets a young man who seems to her a ticket to a new life. But blind trust and hasty decisions lead to dangerous consequences: the girl is drawn into a cruel game where every step is controlled by others, and she has to fight at the edge of survival for the right to be herself.
