About the project

"Witches" is a Ukrainian mystical drama TV series created in 2018 for Novyi Kanal. The project combines elements of urban fantasy drama, melodrama and a youth series. At its center are four modern girls who suddenly gain supernatural abilities. The leading roles were played by Ukrainian actresses, and well-known theater and film actors also took part in the project.

The ordinary lives of four friends, Niki, Marho, Sonia and Dina, revolved around careers, studies, creative pursuits and personal relationships. But one day changes their fates completely when they unexpectedly discover a magical gift within themselves. At first the girls don't understand how to handle such power or whether it is a gift or a curse. Things are complicated by the fact that two powerful and dangerous magicians, Ingvar and Helga, begin to hunt for their magic, so the heroines must learn to stand up to dark forces and protect themselves.
