The film tells about people who fight without trenches but on the front line of digital security. The authors examine in detail the largest DDoS attacks and attempts to paralyze Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, energy systems, and state registries, which the aggressor had been preparing for years. The film presents real stories of Ukrainian cyber defenders, hacktivists, and experts (including representatives of the relevant agencies), who show how a digital weapon can bring a whole country to a halt, and how Ukraine successfully withstands this blow, setting a unique precedent of defense for the entire civilized world.
Cyberwar
“Cyberwar” (also known under its TV premiere title “Cyber Shield of Ukraine”) is a Ukrainian-made documentary (by the company Nadravision with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine) that explores the invisible but critically important front of modern confrontation. The directors and authors of the project (including Serhii Malniev, Oleksandr Venharenko, and Yurii Kalynovskyi) focused on how Ukraine became the epicenter of the world’s first full-scale cyberwar.
