The title fully reflects the project's essence: each criminal investigation is built around a particular piece of physical evidence, whether an ordinary button, an old photograph, a nail, a broken watch, or a murder weapon. This small detail often becomes the key thread with which experienced investigators unravel the tangle of a crime, track down the killer, and restore justice. The series combines dramatized reconstruction of events, archival materials, and an analytical look at how forensic experts worked at the time.

About the project
Rechdok (Evidence) is one of the best-known and longest-running Ukrainian documentary crime reconstruction series, airing on the Inter TV channel. Each episode is devoted to the investigation of a real, tangled crime committed in the past, mostly in the Soviet era and in the first years of independence. The show's constant narrator and host is Artem Pozniak.
