About the project

When the remains of a young woman are found in an Estonian forest after a storm, it turns out she was murdered in the early 1990s and forgotten for decades. Investigator Anna Petersen takes on the case, unaware that it will lead her across national borders and deep into the past — to an era when laws were just being formed and the value of human life was fragile.
