About the project

“Fantastic Ukrainians” is a large-scale documentary series exploring contemporary Ukrainian culture, the creative industries, and their influence on the wider world. The project tells about groundbreaking Ukrainian initiatives in music, film, visual art, literature, and fashion, showing the distinctiveness, creativity, and high standard of Ukrainian artists.

This part of the series is devoted to the phenomenon of contemporary Ukrainian design and the fashion industry. The filmmakers explore how Ukrainian designers combine a rich ethnic heritage, traditional crafts, and authentic motifs with ultramodern trends, winning over international runways and the hearts of global stars. The focus is on the success stories of Ukrainian brands, the process of creating collections, preserving the cultural code, and how Ukrainian fashion has become a powerful voice on the international stage.
