Grain Captain of Ukraine

The film tells the story of the life, triumph, and fierce struggle of the founder of one of Ukraine's largest agricultural holdings, NIBULON. The filmmakers show, in detail and without embellishment, the dramatic chapters of Ukrainian business history, including the Yanukovych era, when a titan of the agricultural market faced an attempted raider takeover and was told to hand over half of his company in exchange for a "monopoly." Oleksii Vadaturskyi said a categorical no, choosing to resist strictly within the law, through the courts and international pressure, and he defeated the corrupt system of the time. The film presents him as a man of unbending principles who changed global grain logistics and proved that honest work can build a global empire.
