At the center of the story is a young girl, Masha Sorokina, who grew up in an orphanage. She is overjoyed when her beloved Serhii finally proposes to her. But Serhii's mother stands in the way of their family happiness: Marharyta, a domineering, wealthy woman who believes that an orphan without a prestigious education or fortune is not worthy of her only son. Marharyta learns of a hidden secret from Masha's past and starts a merciless war against her, which escalates after tragic twists of fate and a fight for custody of a child.

About the project
“Mother's Love” is a Ukrainian four-episode melodrama produced by FILM.UA Group (the production cycle was completed in 2020). The project was directed by Iryna Hromozda. The leads are played by well-known Ukrainian actors: Daria Plakhtii, Petro Rykov, Taras Tsymbaliuk, Anastasiia Serdiuk, and others.
