At the center of events is 24-year-old Andrii, who rescues a schoolgirl, Vira, and a puppy from a river. The girl falls in love with her rescuer, but he sees her only as a child. Soon Andrii leaves, giving her drawings, a locket and the rescued dog as a keepsake. Years later, their paths cross again, forcing the characters to rethink their past and their feelings.
