The story revolves around an influential and cynical agribusiness baron/local-scale oligarch for whom profit and his own status matter more than morality, the law, and people. But against the backdrop of modern challenges and changing public consciousness, his empire begins to crack.
The Master
About the project
A modern television and film adaptation of the classic satirical play by Ivan Karpenko-Karyi. The project transfers the age-old problems of Ukrainian society (corruption, the unscrupulousness of those in power, and a predatory attitude toward the land) into present-day realities.
